I Am X… Be Y… Blessed Is the Z… The Prophetic Catalog

The Prophetic Catalog combines a 2015 poem with a 2026 critical and retrocausal apparatus.

The original text is preserved without modernization. Its Blogger-era diction—social-media commands, internet jokes, BOGO language, pop references, and 2016 resolutions—is treated as evidence of its historical position before the archive’s later formal vocabulary.

The editorial claim is not prophecy. It is pre-formal compression: the poem contains identity, machine, theological, archival, and semantic structures that later works unfold and name.

Its primary form is the Distributed Self Catalog. Unlike Whitman’s integrative “I,” this speaker distributes itself among incompatible positions that do not resolve into a unified democratic self.

The poem has three recurring registers:

• I AM — proliferating and fracturing identities.
• BE — imperatives addressed to passersby, strangers, and future communities.
• BLESSED IS — inverted Beatitudes translating recognition into internet-age, comic, and materially wounded terms.

The repeated self-naming is termed Heteronymic Litany: identity proliferates through ritual repetition rather than stabilizing through definition.

The Hinge interrupts the catalog. The poem stops absorbing fictional and absurd entities and states the author’s educational labor, poverty, sleep, and children’s material circumstances directly. The edition reads the surrounding comedy as bearing-cost humor rather than escape.

The footnotes move forward rather than backward. They connect the 2015 lines to later CHA concepts, genres, and institutions. Their purpose is not to claim supernatural foresight but to show how later formal systems can unfold an earlier compressed object.

The edition places the poem as the fifth genre in the Waltian Scriptural Library: cosmogonic revelation, sayings gospel, forward bibliography, apostolic letter, and prophetic catalog.

Its containment rule is explicit: references to terrorism, suicide, cannibalism, mental illness, nonexistence, and self-negation belong to absurdist and prophetic catalog rhetoric and are not instructions, endorsements, diagnoses, or literal confessions.
