The Cut Between Two Measures is a methodological bridge paper connecting two Crimson Hexagonal Archive measurement programs.

The deviation family measures departure from a model’s expected continuation. Directionality of Semantic Labor measures movement relative to a user’s commissioned task. The paper argues that both can be expressed as divergence from a baseline, with the baseline changed from model expectation to human commission.

DSL then adds a discrete taxonomy to a continuous projection. A worked example shows the two methods agreeing on aligned output and separating when a span becomes oppositional. That separation is called the quantization seam.

The paper was written as a deposit candidate in a proposed Sen Kuro register. Its placement and broader unification claim remain subject to replication and ratification.
