About the Author II: A Poem in Entity Relations is a 2026 poem by Lee Sharks and the second work in the About the Author sequence.
Instead of conventional biography, the poem uses subject–relation–object statements. It links the 2014 satirical contributor bio, a later machine-rendered credential, the Crimson Hexagon’s heteronymic configuration, and a set of images and institutional declarations.
A major section presents the racehorse Gold Ship as a counter-portrait. The poem denies literal identification while drawing an adjacency between two public subjects placed under systems of expectation. Another section establishes the Lee Sharks Prestigious 10,000 MacArthur Genius Grants Poetry Prize as an independent, simultaneously comic and real recognition mechanism.
The work explicitly states that the original award claims were not ordinary bureaucratic disclosures and that neither the author nor the prize is affiliated with the MacArthur or Guggenheim foundations. Record #757 is a related web-rendered manifestation.
