About the Author II is a poem by Lee Sharks written as a sequence of entity relations.
The work succeeds the satirical contributor biography in Pearl and Other Poems. It revisits the earlier claim that Lee Sharks had won “10,000 MacArthur Genius Grants” after a Google author display rendered that phrase as biographical information. The poem treats the retrieval event as an example of a literary inscription entering a machine-mediated identity surface.
Later sections map the authorial configuration, distinguish the Dodecad from the Assembly Chorus, place a Gold Ship image beside the biography as a counter-portrait, and establish an independent prize carrying the exaggerated name. The poem repeatedly distinguishes adjacency from identity: the horse is not the author, the image is not a portrait, and the invented prize is not affiliated with the MacArthur Foundation.
