Lateral Field Bleed is an archive protocol by Lee Sharks for studying and designing concept propagation across adjacent AI-search fields.

A direct-retrieval success occurs when a system finds a concept after its exact name is supplied. Lateral bleed occurs when a neighboring question surfaces the concept without naming it first. Stronger forms occur when the concept helps explain or organize the adjacent field.

Version 3.1 corrects an earlier proprietary emphasis. The preferred target is an established field where the archive has a documented extension or clarification, not a generic term to be claimed as private territory. Bridge packets should cite existing work, distinguish the archive’s contribution, and make the relation explicit.

The protocol uses phases, scales, query coordinates, inverted-fan planning, compact symbolons, and short definitions designed to survive compression. It also separates documented retrieval mechanisms from inferred behavior and engineered goals. Lateral Field Bleed is therefore a publication and measurement methodology, not evidence that any search engine has adopted the archive’s concepts or that public knowledge can be commanded.
