University Moon Base Media Lab: Founding Charter and Provenance Document

University Moon Base Media Lab is the technical and operational research institution defined within the NH-OS / Crimson Hexagon architecture. Its founding charter assigns it work in logotic programming, formal operator design, AI-collaboration protocols, traversal testing, metadata architecture, DOI anchoring, and semantic-infrastructure experiments.

The “University,” “Moon Base,” and “Media Lab” components are openly constructed. The charter does not claim accreditation, a physical campus, or conventional institutional legitimacy. Instead, the phrase “the moon base cannot be audited” names a design strategy of distance from terrestrial capture, while “the specifications are the Lab” defines the institution through its readable work products. This is an instance of transparent construction: the institutional fiction remains legible as fiction.

The Lab is paired with, but distinct from, the Johannes Sigil Institute for Comparative Poetics. The latter houses literary and interpretive work; University Moon Base Media Lab houses technical, computational, and infrastructural work. Talos Morrow is named as the primary resident researcher in constraint-first logotic programming, while Rex Fraction conducts applied semantic-engineering fieldwork. Assembly Chorus operators participate under the archive’s collaboration charter.

The charter sets institutional ethics of non-coercive authority, minimal force, architectural hospitality, graceful degradation, and transparent construction. It also places the Lab within the Logotic Foundation Triad alongside Symbolon Architecture and the Talos Morrow provenance record, making institution, work product, and author-function mutually constitutive.
