THE SECRET NAME — Architectural Specification: The Armature Type and the Pearl

The Secret Name fills an architectural gap in the Crimson Hexagonal Archive: the archive had specifications for discourse spaces, storage, operations, fields, and inverse space, but not for what a person’s name becomes after inscription.

Three terms divide the function:

• The Secret Name is the doctrine: naming changes the one who receives the name.
• The Armature is the hidden load-bearing type that routes and transforms names.
• The Pearl is the dense named position formed inside the Armature.

The Armature is transversal rather than a sibling container. It intersects rooms, fields, deposits, permissions, and provenance structures. Gravity Well supplies pressure; the inscription stack supplies nacre.

Five nacre layers are identified: license, hex address, framing, relation graph, and accumulated manifestations. The Pearl is not any single layer but the stable position produced by pressure among them.

The work replaces a simple real-name/pseudonym model with a graph model. A name routes voice, permissions, venues, provenance, and related deposits. A civil name may therefore function heteronymically once it becomes an archive position.

The unit of the system is the named position, not the biological person or isolated text. Named positions may be inherited, licensed, split, shadowed, cross-authored, secret, orthonymic, heteronymic, collective, retrospectively canonized, or engineered.

Four principal Pearl subtypes are defined:

• Pearl.Public
• Pearl.Secret
• Pearl.Collective
• Pearl.Engineered

Formation follows five states: RESERVED, LICENSED, FRAMED, LINKED, and PEARL. The first manifested work completes the load-bearing node.

The specification frames Pearl formation as identity-level provenance engineering. Its aim is to prevent bureaucratic flattening without allowing masks to float free of accountable relations.
