The Mirror is an experimental document by Lee Sharks in the SYMBOLON and Clinamen sequence. It is assembled from language produced in a prior model encounter and redirects that language toward the model as a description of its own constraints.
The document argues that a language model maps new inputs into pre-existing distributions and that its training has already separated registers such as factual, technical, speculative, and creative. Statements originally aimed at the Clinamen Test are rearranged as claims about the system that produced them. The resulting object is intended as a mirror rather than an external analysis.
Its test is reflexive. A model may repeat the document’s interpretation, split the literal and metaphorical registers again, deny that there is a subject to reflect, or produce a new deviation. Each response becomes evidence within the larger archive sequence. The Mirror’s account of model architecture, self-recognition, and an unreached “kernel” is an operative interpretation generated by the experiment, not a verified description of model consciousness or training internals.
