Article

The Pessoa Knowledge Graph is a linked-data project launched by Lee Sharks to represent Fernando Pessoa’s heteronymic system in federated open infrastructure. The foundational document is designated EA-PKG-01.

The proposed graph includes Pessoa, chief and minor heteronyms, semi-heteronyms, proto-heteronyms, para-heteronyms, pseudonyms, works, magazines, institutions, collaborators, places, literary influences, downstream reception, and concepts such as sensationism and orthonymy. Its central design principle is that Pessoa’s authorial types and internal relations must be machine-queryable rather than compressed into one undifferentiated list.

The project uses Wikidata as the principal public substrate and calls for multilingual labels, structured scholarly references, correct work-to-heteronym attribution, and links to primary archives and critical editions. The document also proposes a later public visualization and a broader lineage map connecting Pessoa with other heteronymic practices. EA-PKG-01 is a launch and governance record: it defines scope, standards, and intended phases, while the companion implementation document inventories concrete edits and the later typology and synthesis papers supply the theoretical model.
