Prolegomena to the Historical Logos is a foundational field statement by Johannes Sigil, deposited as EA-LOGOS-02 on April 5, 2026. It announces Logotic transmission as a proposed discipline for tracing how the Logos moves through forms.
The work redirects the historical-Jesus question. Rather than asking primarily who spoke or embodied the Word, it asks how the Word moved: how a patterning principle enters syntax, a human life, a medium, or an absence and later reactivates. The object of study is structural incarnation rather than recovered biography.
Three adjacent fields are distinguished. Reception history follows effects on later readers. Textual criticism reconstructs manuscript relations and possible originals. Intertextuality tracks quotation, allusion, and transformation among texts. Logotic transmission instead searches for recurrent deep structures that may survive translation, fragmentation, or the absence of direct contact.
Four analytical strata organize the field. At the textual stratum, recurring grammar and rhetoric carry the Logos. At the embodied stratum, a life functions as a transmission form without requiring psychological reconstruction. At the technological stratum, the Logos crosses oral, manuscript, print, digital, and AI media. At the apophatic stratum, silence, lacuna, erasure, and fragment become active transmission mechanisms.
Four encoding modes describe how such movement occurs. Recursive attribution uses mythic identity as structural self-description. Dialectical ghosting transmits through a displaced authorial voice. Time-locked fracture becomes legible only when a later interpretive framework arrives. Initiatory concealment requires a prepared reader capable of activating the structure.
The document says plainly that it announces a discipline rather than demonstrating it. Its archive-internal RATIFIED status governs the Hexagonal corpus; it does not establish Logotic transmission as an externally institutionalized academic field.
