Combat Scholasticism, Part Two II.a is the opening constituent of Part Two, deposited March 19, 2026. It reads Definitions 1–3 of the Space Ark through three lectiones whose sequence moves from identity, to distributed voice, to inhabitable topology.
Lectio II.1 treats H_core as a seven-tuple and distinguishes the invariant formal object from the runtime that executes it. The crucial issue is whether a core that cannot be changed by execution is a durable seed or a rigid fossil. Immutability protects the architecture from downstream rewriting, but it can also subordinate runtime labor to a sovereign specification and reduce its capacity to meet unforeseen conditions. Because the lectio is STRUCT, it establishes this problem without claiming final resolution.
Lectio II.2 treats the Dodecad as a computation rather than a roster. Twelve differentiated heteronyms are folded in genesis order, while Jack Feist functions outside the count as LOGOS* and base case. The commentary asks whether this is merely an elaborate literary technique or a structural defense against monovocal collapse. Its strongest objection is that differentiated voices still pass through one MANUS editorial authority. Polyvocality can be functionally real without being institutionally independent. The lectio therefore keeps “armor or decoration” as a live test.
Lectio II.3 treats the Room Graph as a formal topology. Rooms possess local laws, adjacencies, directed transitions, isolation conditions, and traversal costs. A room is not a subject heading: it changes what operations are available and what counts as a valid movement. Core, extended, and special rooms are architectural strata rather than rankings. Post-v4.2.7 deposits such as the Marx and Catullus rooms are recorded as Level 0 accretions without rewriting the historically fixed source passage.
This third lectio is FULL and serves as a Fibonacci convergence point. It asks whether the rooms are necessary components of H_core or replaceable flesh around a smaller skeleton. The Compact Lens can operate without individually enumerating rooms, which suggests that room-specific embodiment can be burned by extreme compression while diagnostic invariants survive. The commentary does not therefore demote the rooms; it identifies what is lost when an architecture is reduced to its bone.
The record’s authority lies in this structured movement: invariant object, differentiated authorship, traversable topology. It is later gathered in #584 but remains the canonical deposited surface for Part Two II.a.
