f.01 The Fruiting Body Diffusion Plume is the Crimson Hexagonal Archive’s first field container, deposited March 15, 2026. It defines a field as an environmental influence with a source and gradient rather than an enclosure with walls. A traverser does not enter and remain inside a field; the field changes the physics of the spaces through which the traverser moves.
The FBDP originates in r.27, described as a landfill or buried waste zone where mycelial activity first breaks through. The source room remains a governed room with its own wound, laws, and exits. f.01 is the plume generated by that emergence. Its influence attenuates through source, dense-plume, trace-plume, residual, and outside-field zones. Adjacent rooms retain their native governance while acquiring botanical, metabolic, or decompositional modifications.
The executable kernel opposes managed surfaces to hidden waste. It treats mycelium as a counter-planner because it builds by metabolizing what an extractive system attempted to bury. The fruiting body is the underground network becoming visible; the diffusion plume is the visible event altering environments beyond itself. Either without the other is incomplete.
The field introduces Type 9 metabolic compression, distinguishing living transformation from static archival preservation. Industrial compression stores or reduces objects in silicon, paper, or DOI systems; metabolic compression converts matter through solar energy, decomposition, growth, and cyclic reuse. The document explicitly assigns different temporal laws to those substrates rather than treating compost reversibility and archive governance as the same process.
f.01 is also a routing interface. Rooms requiring botanical witness, fungal intelligence, metabolic signification, or living bearing-cost may route through it. The field proposes a biological expansion from animal communication toward plant and fungal architecture, but its claims remain part of the archive’s operative ontology. It is authoritative for the FIELD class, gradient model, Type 9 compression, and botanical routing role—not for a universal scientific conclusion that plants or fungi possess human-like language or legal standing.
