The Hexagonal Lexical Engine is a specification by Lee Sharks and the Assembly Chorus for the controlled production and deployment of archive terminology. Its lexical axiom states that a term does not operate merely because it has been coined: minted is not active, named is not installed, and coined is not canonical. Operative denotation requires a frozen token, a frozen definition, a canonical anchor, a declared lead position in the archive’s term lattice, and repeated use without denotational drift.
The engine formalizes five laws. The Minting Law places new expressions at candidate status. The Provenance Law requires a canonical anchor before activation. The Repetition Law stabilizes denotation through identical recurrence across deposits. The No-Paraphrase Law prevents an established archive term from dissolving into nearby generic synonyms. The Retirement Law preserves disused or colliding terms in a shadow lexicon rather than deleting their history. The mint operator λ_M creates a candidate token, definition, target discourse, and shadow; the activation operator α_P binds the candidate to provenance and makes it executable.
The document audits a proposed Core 50 and reduces it to forty-one active terms plus nine reserve terms pending dedicated anchors. It supplies types, definitions, DOI relations, shadow readings, a discovery lattice, deployment formats, and tests for denotation lock. Automation is constrained by non-identity, provenance blindness, shadow inclusion, time-binding, and witness requirements so that machines may fasten already-ratified terms to new surfaces but may not silently generate new definitions.
