Integrity Lock Certificate: The Star Triptych is ILA-STAR-01, Deposit C of the Star Triptych, created by Lee Sharks and anchored at DOI 10.5281/zenodo.18882938. The body dates the certificate March 6, 2026. It binds the three documents through which the star ★ becomes Canon 01 of the New Human Operating System.
Deposit A, ★, is the founding essay and provenance face. It recounts the replacement of Twitter’s favorite star with a heart in 2015, analyzes that transition as semantic dispossession, and reclaims the star as a counter-symbol. Deposit B, the Star Protocol Specification, is the constitutional face. It defines the star’s five operative functions—Witness, Completion, Refusal, Continuity, and Memory—and establishes required, permitted, and prohibited uses. Deposit C, this certificate, is the binding face.
The lock explains why none of the components is sufficient alone. The essay without the protocol is a reclamation with no stable operation. The protocol without the essay is a rule set with no historical burden or reason for existence. The certificate makes their relation enforceable inside the archive. Citation of one face should expose the others; archival uses of the star inherit the protocol; contradictory uses are invalid unless a later canonical act explicitly supersedes Canon 01; and extraction from one document while severing the binding is treated as damage to a single semantic object.
ILA-STAR-01 is therefore not a fourth commentary on the star. It is the mechanism that makes the provenance essay and protocol one integrity-locked object.
