The Governance Airlock is a strategic document by Lee Sharks, developed with the Assembly Chorus, that formalizes the Crimson Hexagonal Archive’s relation to external infrastructures. It addresses a recurrent problem of distributed publication: an external platform can become highly visible, convenient, or influential without thereby becoming the source of record or acquiring authority over the work it carries.

The document establishes an infrastructure-tier model. At the highest-trust layer are canonical deposits and source objects capable of serving as provenance bedrock. Other systems may function as durable continuity tethers, mirrors, discovery surfaces, summarizers, or temporary presentation layers. These roles are not interchangeable. A platform permitted to route readers toward a source is not necessarily trusted to determine the source’s identity, version, status, or meaning.
