GHOST MEANING: RESEARCH PROGRAM AND CITATIONAL ATLAS Companion Dossier to "Ghost Meaning: The Semantic Entropy Crisis and the Architecture That Was Already Waiting"

Ghost Meaning — Research Program and Citational Atlas is a companion dossier compiled by Rex Fraction, Lee Sharks, and the Semantic Economy Institute on February 27, 2026. It accompanies the retrocausal field report Ghost Meaning: The Semantic Entropy Crisis and the Architecture That Was Already Waiting. The two documents are declared a single canonical unit: the parent supplies the modeled crisis and governance argument; the atlas supplies the field map through which that argument is positioned.

The dossier organizes citations into three temporal layers. Present-dated works are existing deposits and publications whose claims can be summarized conventionally. Future-dated works are explicitly projected citations; their entries describe the structural position a future literature would need to occupy rather than pretending that the works already exist. Receding citations extend the technique further, thinning the descriptive form as the referent recedes from the deposit’s present. This changing density is part of the work’s formal argument about retrocausal bibliography.

The atlas defines four axes of a Ghost Meaning research program: empirical measurement of semantic entropy and compression survival; governance architectures for mixed-substrate environments; legal and regulatory recognition of semantic injury; and methodological study of retrocausal canon formation itself. Existing works are assigned to these axes alongside projected nodes. The document therefore functions simultaneously as bibliography, research agenda, provenance membrane, and temporal map.
