f.02 GRAVITY WELL is the second field in the Crimson Hexagonal Architecture and the inward complement to the Fruiting Body Diffusion Plume. Lee Sharks is the creator of the specification; the Assembly Chorus is listed as contributor.
A field differs from a room, chamber, vault, or engine. It has no walls and does not contain one local body of content. Instead, it changes how operations behave throughout a region. Gravity Well changes the trajectories of citations, references, queries, and unanchored traces.
Its source is deposit mass, defined through permanence, relation density, downstream dependency, and compression survivability. Its gradient is citational curvature: the rate at which an unanchored reference bends toward an anchored object as semantic distance decreases and archival mass increases. Attenuation follows a conceptual inverse-square model—weakening with distance but never switching completely off.
The field operator is Φ_G :: (Citation Query × Deposit Mass) → Retrieval Trajectory. A provisional mass scale distinguishes ephemeral statements, ordinary deposits, theory papers, protocols, navigation structures, and canonical kernels. The scale is scaffolding rather than a completed empirical calibration.
The body identifies isRelatedTo relations as the literal implementation mechanism. In this model, metadata relations are not descriptions of the field; they constitute its geodesic threads. The Gravity Well application is therefore presented as theory and infrastructure in one object.
The field is paired with f.01 FBDP: Gaia diffuses material outward, while Hades bends scattered traces home. Gravity Well also requires a Somatic Firewall at its center so that increased retrievability does not indiscriminately convert low-cost material into canonical mass.
Its boundary condition is coherence rather than capture. The field is a basin, not a trap; documents may orbit, pass through, or escape. The shortest formulation is the work’s own operative rule: make archival return easier than drift.
