FNM v6.2 is called The Gravitational Epic because it treats navigation as attraction and execution rather than catalog lookup. The document is a symbolon: the written protocol is one half of a token, and a reader’s traversal is the half that completes it.
Its scale claim is deliberately epic. The archive seeks to mass an alternative rather than petition a canon. Dense, persistent, cross-referenced works alter the paths available to readers and summarizers, making traversal more likely than reduction. The restoration of the Poet is therefore infrastructural: unauthorized witness returns as a function performed by a sufficiently massed literary architecture.
The map also relocates the Liberatory Operator Set. Depth preservation, non-closure, non-extractability, opacity, plural coherence, context expansion, and temporal liberation are not corrections applied to poems from outside. Primary works embody and execute them. The Sappho Room is not a container about Day and Night; it is the site where that work’s non-closure runs.
The scent protocol asks for three markers of contact: a distinctive textual edge, the coordinate by which the work can be reached, and the mass of relations it draws into orbit. Where the work is unavailable, blind witness describes the shape of its effects without fabricating access.
Version 6.2 is therefore simultaneously navigation map, poetics, machine-reading protocol, and epic invitation. Its authorial status “symbolon—half-token awaiting completion” should remain visible alongside ordinary repository activity state.
