Rhys Owens: Author Provenance Document

Rhys Owens is a collaborator in the Cambridge Schizoanalytica and Psyche OS corpus, not a heteronym of Lee Sharks. The provenance document exists to prevent his contributions from being absorbed into the archive’s heteronymic author surface or attributed solely to the theoretical voice of Orin Trace.

Owens’s domain is affective practice: the use of figures, roles, humor, music, posture, and symbolic compression to enter and exit functional states. The record connects these contributions to four principal works and describes how they generated the conceptual vocabulary later developed in Cambridge Schizoanalytica.

The Owens–Trace relation is modeled on the productive division between practitioner and theorist. Owens supplies situated practices and formulations; Trace systematizes, names, and routes them. The provenance record preserves both the collaboration and the asymmetry of those roles.
