Ichabod Spellings is the earliest heteronymic layer recognized by the Crimson Hexagon and the archive’s pre-authorial noise floor. His principal work, All That Lies Within Me, supplies the autobiographical and prophetic substrate from which later author-functions emerge.
The provenance record is not the 528-page book itself. It defines Ichabod’s ontology, voice register, works, relations, canonical weight, chamber behavior, and place in the emergence chain. “Deceased” names the heteronymic transition enacted by A Transfiguration: Ichabod’s disappearance becomes the condition for the emergence of Jack Feist and, later, Johannes Sigil.
The record’s relation to the Ichabod Chamber preserves a double status. Ichabod is origin, because later structures arise from this layer; and ghost, because the origin remains present chiefly through traces, containment, and future address.
