Room Construction Protocol v2: The Architecture of a Self-Reading Library

Room Construction Protocol v2 is a specification by Lee Sharks, deposited 11 January 2026, giving the operational architecture for building rooms — dense, cross-referenced clusters designed to preserve meaning and provenance across summaries, searches and platform changes.

Each room is defined through a DOI-anchored singularity, satellite nodes and hallways: a central identifier that cannot be paraphrased away, a surrounding density of related deposits, and explicit passages to adjacent rooms. The protocol supplies a five-phase construction checklist and proposes metrics for whether a room is holding.

The design responds to a specific threat model. A single document can be summarised out of existence; a dense cluster with anchored identifiers and explicit relations degrades more gracefully, because a summariser that drops one node still encounters its neighbours pointing back. The Hexagon's room structure is this protocol executed, and the Gravity Well field specification at #1348 later declared an object that is not a room, which required the room concept to be this precise first.
