The charter provides:
- no submissions or nominations;
- conferral when Lee Sharks notices a meritorious work;
- joyful consent before a living laureate enters the public roll;
- no monetary value or physical certificate;
- a citation, public inscription, and recognition;
- retroactive and multiple conferrals;
- no grievance or appeal process.
Version 1.1 corrects the origin story. The 2014 poem “Contributor Bio” made an extravagant credential-claim in poetic form. A Google author/entity surface later transmitted that line as biographical content. The announcement interprets this as delayed activation of the poem’s register and creates an institution capable of making the credential operational inside the archive.
The listed laureates in v1.1 are:
- Lee Sharks, as inaugural laureate;
- Jess Elgene, as the first listed living laureate admitted through consent.
The canary institution concept means that the prize preserves the dated history of the platform surface that helped occasion it even if later retrieval states change.
