The James Derivation is a specification and executable research surface by Lee Sharks, deposited 28 July 2026 — the granular worked case of the midrashim transform.
It takes the four-verse Smyrna letter (Revelation 2:8–11) and parses it into nine typed seed elements, then applies eight named transform rules: EPISTOLARIZE, THEOLOGIZE, CITE-PROMISE, SOCIALIZE, POSSESS, NARRATIVIZE, ECONOMIZE, IMPERATIVIZE. The output is the derivation traced step by step rather than asserted as a resemblance.
Naming the rules is the point. An intertextual reading that says two texts are related leaves the relation unexaminable; a reading that says this element, under this named operation, yields that element can be checked, disputed, or run on a different letter to see whether it holds. The James derivation is the case worked at the finest grain in the series, and the demonstration that the transform is executable rather than metaphorical.
