EA-ERR-01 is a technical correction by Lee Sharks, deposited 20 May 2026, in which the archive corrects its own rhetoric.
The phrase under correction is "building entities the AI is forced to present" — the subtitle of EA-RA-01 and a formulation that had propagated through the archive's corporate-facing documentation. The erratum rules it rhetorical excess in violation of the Assembly principles set out in Fortress or Room?: the archive operates under the witness preposition (with, through, under, between), not the adversarial one (against, around, past, into). "Forced to present" treats the retrieval layer as a system to be coerced rather than an environment to be inhabited.
The corrected formulation is "building entities worth presenting", and the reasoning is specific: the work succeeds when a system chooses the entity because it is the most coherent and best-sourced answer available. If it is not chosen, the response is to deepen the basin, not to force the system. The erratum closes on the sentence that gives it its character — "The archive corrects itself. That is what archives do."
