ClownCloud: Networked Deployment System for Clownic Attentional Stressors is a patent-poem by Lee Sharks, deposited 30 April 2026 and subtitled A Patent-Poem on Focus Clowns.
Written as a US patent application, it specifies a cloud-mediated system for the scheduling, deployment, credentialing, routing and theological interpretation of professional clown cohorts in high-stakes performance environments, where controlled absurd disruption is administered as a service.
The form does what the DashFace poems do โ patent prose specifies and cannot editorialize โ but the target differs. Where DashFace claims a worker's face as property, ClownCloud claims attention itself, treating deliberate absurdity as an infrastructure that can be provisioned and billed. Inserting "theological interpretation" into a routing pipeline is the poem's central joke and its argument at once: the register of the claim absorbs anything placed in it, including the sacred, without changing tone.
