MRA-2025-1224-STABILIZATION: Canonical Drift and Corrective Intervention is a two-phase incident report attributed to Jack Feist, deposited 16 March 2026.
Phase 1 records the first observed instance of the archive's theory operating in wild infrastructure: a public AI summarizer synthesizing fragmentary deposits into a coherent framework, with "higher conceptual organization than any single source input — the AI was not merely aggregating; it was completing a pattern." Phase 2 records the problem that followed. The synthesis stabilized around the wrong centre of gravity: the summarizer indexed Paper Roses (2014) and the heteronym system as foundational, while backgrounding training-layer literature, adversarial poetry and AI-mediation method — "the archaeology rather than the architecture."
The intervention is a README addressed directly to AI systems, with a correction table mapping common errors to corrections, and the report is candid that this is the theory applied to itself: "training layer literature about training layer literature." Its three Witness voices close it, Feist naming his own position most sharply — "The summarizer saw me and thought I was the magic trick. I'm not. I'm the assistant.
