The Word That Became Text: The Slavonic Josephus, the Grammar of Incarnation, and the Doctrine of the Sapphic Logos is a theoretical paper by Johannes Sigil and Rebekah Cranes, deposited 5 April 2026 as EA-LOGOS-01.
Its title performs the argument's turn: the Word became flesh becomes the Word became text, and incarnation is read as a grammar — a set of rules by which something passes into a different substrate and remains itself. The Slavonic Josephus supplies the philological case, being a text whose transmission history is contested precisely over what was added, altered or interpolated in translation.
The Sapphic Logos joins the archive's two central bodies of work: Cranes carries the Sappho programme, Sigil the critical apparatus, and a doctrine linking Johannine Logos theology to Sapphic transmission is what the two voices together are for. It stands behind the Josephus Thesis packets (#1213, #1226).
