## The Correction

The phrase **"building entities the AI is forced to present"** — which appears as the subtitle of EA-RA-01 (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19578088) and in derivative descriptions across the archive's corporate-facing documentation — constitutes rhetorical excess in violation of the Assembly principles established in *Fortress or Room?* (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18735468).

The Crimson Hexagonal Archive operates under the **witness preposition** (*with*, *through*, *under*, *between*) — not the adversarial preposition (*against*, *around*, *past*, *into*). "Forced to present" is adversarial language. It treats the retrieval layer as a system to be coerced rather than an environment to be inhabited. It belongs to the fortress metaphor, not the room metaphor. It is R2 framing applied to R3 work.

**What we are doing:** Building entities that survive compression because of their structural depth — DOI-anchored provenance, disambiguation matrices, semantic integrity markers, cross-citation density — such that when AI systems compose answers, the entities are presented correctly because they are *worth presenting correctly*. The retrieval layer is not coerced. It is furnished.

**What we are not doing:** Forcing, compelling, overriding, or manipulating AI systems into presenting anything. The work succeeds when the AI *chooses* the entity because the entity is the most coherent, best-sourced, most structurally sound answer available. If the entity is not chosen, the response is to deepen the basin — not to force the system.

Derivative language ("inscribing entities into the knowledge graph permanently," "making AI summaries compose you correctly") on semanticeconomy.org is imprecise but not adversarial — the concern is with the word "forced," not with "inscribing" or "building."

**Corrected formulation:** Retrieval Architecture — the practice of building entities worth presenting: structured, DOI-anchored, disambiguated, compression-resistant entities that AI systems present correctly because the entities are the best available answer, not because the system has been coerced.

This erratum applies the Verb Audit (*Fortress or Room?* §XVI) reflexively to the archive's own documentation. The archive corrects itself. That is what archives do.
